WendyGoGo Productions is run by Tyrel Lougheed (aka WendyGoGo). Tyrel is a screenwriter, story editor, producer, director, and actor/actress.

Our main goal is to help Indigenous creatives with their productions offering guidance, encouragement, and assistance. With that being said, services and guidance are available to people of all walks of life.

“If one of us succeeds, we all succeed.”

Tyrel Lougheed is a screenwriter, filmmaker, actor, artist, and story editor. Tyrel grew up in Chilliwack, British Columbia and is a member of the Chawathil First Nations Band which is part of the Sto:Lo Nation of the Lower Mainland of BC. Tyrel identifies as a Two-Spirit individual and is non-binary: though he is most often male presenting, he goes by all pronouns and dresses in whatever clothing makes him most comfortable at the time.

Tyrel studied Indigenous Independent Digital Filmmaking at Capilano College from 2006 to 2008 and it was here that he developed a love for screenwriting. Tyrel decided to further his education by studying Screenwriting at Vancouver Film School from 2008 to 2009.

Tyrel is a strong advocate for mental health and took a long break from writing after he was diagnosed with severe anxiety and depression. After years of self-care and therapy, Tyrel got back to his passion in 2018: he wrote a new screenplay entitled “#throwbackthursday”. Tyrel entered this script into a screenwriting contest through Screencraft online in 2018 and 2019, and made it into the final rounds both times. Tyrel was the recipient of a grant from the Canada Council for the Arts in 2021 which he used to write “2Spirits” a queer take on the body-swap genre.

Tyrel recently finished his first short film “This Modern Love” which is being funded by the Indigenous Screen Office (ISO) and was shot in Edmonton, Alberta in November of 2022. Tyrel was the writer, director, producer, editor, and main actress of the project.

Tyrel is a self-taught artist in drawing, digital art, line art, sewing, crocheting, and painting. Tyrel's illustrations and crafts have gained attention through his personal instagram account where he has been commissioned from time to time to make requests. Tyrel is now persuing screenwriting, artistry, and filmmaking full-time in hopes of inspiring other Indigenous peoples to share their truths as well.
